For events taking place outside of Saint-Tropez center, transportation will be provided from the town. If you choose to stay at a hotel that is not listed below, we recommend arranging taxi drop-offs and pick-ups with your hotel.

We suggest arriving in France on Wednesday, May 29 or Thursday, May 30 in the morning. If you are attending the Wedding Day on Saturday, plan to check out of your hotels on Monday, June 3 or request a late check-out on Sunday, June 2 since the party will go until 2am the night before. Though it's certainly not required, there is plenty to do in the area if you want to extend your trip!

There are plenty of wonderful options not highlighted here, including many affordable options via Airbnb. We recommend booking your accommodations as early as possible since hotels and short-term rentals book up very quickly in and around Saint-Tropez.

Closest Stations

There are numerous routes available using France's national rail service, otherwise known as SNCF. Train journeys typically open for booking  up to 4 months ahead, though sometimes there are early releases in summer. Please keep in mind that there is no train station in Saint-Tropez, you will need to hire a car, take a ferry or book a private driver in advance to complete the journey once you arrive  at one of the stations below.

The fastest route from Nice is to follow the major A8 toll autoroute westward and inland before turning south to the coast on the D25 toward Sainte-Maxime and the final leg of the D559/D98A to Saint-Tropez. The trip takes about 2 hours without traffic.

For a slower, more scenic drive, take the A8 past Cannes, then link up with the narrow and winding D559, traveling along the coast on a spectacular route known as the Corniche d'Or. You'll pass through charming, smaller Riviera resorts like Théoule-sur-Mer, Antheor, and La Dramont before turning onto the D98A for the last 10 miles into Saint-Tropez.

Keep in mind that there is one road in and out of Saint-Tropez, which can often cause traffic congestion. Once you arrive, take advantage of your hotel's parking options as parking is quite limited within the town. If your hotel does not provid parking, follow the signs to one of the paid public parking lots (Parking des Lices, Parking du Nouveau Port or Parking Foch).

Alternatively, you can find direct high-speed TGV InOui and regional TER trains traveling from Nice Ville to the Saint-Raphäel-Valescure station in about an hour. From there, you can take a taxi or walk 5 min from the train station to the town's Old Port, from which Les Bateaux des Saint-Raphäel ferries sail to Saint-Tropez throughout the day during summer. The ferry rides are typically a mere 15 minutes!

Arranging for private transfer between the towns is the most expensive option, but also the most comfortable, without the added stress of navigating or parking. The fastest route takes two hours without traffic, but custom scenic itineraries and stopovers can be arranged ahead of time to take in highlights along the way.

From Nice, you can rent a car, hire a driver such as Nice Driver or take a long ferry directly to Saint-Tropez. The Trans Côte d'Azur Ferry operates every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, departing from the Quai Lunel on the Port de Nice at 9am and arriving 2.5 hours later.
